Comment
The etymon is assumed to be εἶμι, here provided under the form of a thematic verb ἔω. This cannot account for the whole lemma, so presumably the complete etymon is εἶμι + εὐρύς and we are dealing with a compositional etymology. The Et. Magnum seems to assume this etymology for εὖρος "breadth", and not for εὖρος "East wind" (the etymology is listed under Εῦρος οὐδετέρως and the participle is indeed the neuter form τὸ πορευόμενον). However, from the semantic point of view the etymology by a verb of motion clearly is intended for the name of the wind rather than for an abstract noun.
