Quotation

ὥσπερ “ὀδάξ”, ἀντὶ τοῦ “μετὰ τῶν ὀδόντων”, οὕτω καὶ “λάξ”, μετὰ τῶν ποδῶν, ἀφ’ οὗ καὶ “λακτίζω”.

As odax meaning "with the teeth", so, too, lax "with the feet", from which comes laktizō "to kick with the foot"
