Εὐλαί: Αἱ σκώληκες. Παρὰ τὸ εἰλῶ εἰλαὶ, αἱ εἰλούμεναι, καὶ εὐλαὶ, ὡς χαίνω, χαῦνος. Ἢ παρὰ τὸν αὐλὸν, ὃ σημαίνει τὸ ἐπίμηκες, αὐλαὶ καὶ εὐλαί.
