Comment
Derivational etymology starting from the (unattested) future form of the monosyllabic verb and backed by an analogy. The verb *χῶ χωρέω is understood here as meaning "to contain", a derived meaning from "to move back", because one who moves back makes room for someone else: applied to inanimate, "to make rom for" leads to "to contain".
